Our purpose is to present proven factual data about the different types of addictive chemical substances (drugs) to young people and to explain the effects they have on the body and mind so that these people can come to an informed self-determined decision regarding the use of them.
Are always needed and welcome. If you feel you would like to help our programme there are a couple of ways that this can be done. Some businesses make donations towards the printing of the 10 Things booklet. When they do this they get their full business name and particulars printed on the back cover of the booklet. Many have actually received business enquiries from this advert. They all have been acknowledged for their stand on the subject and viewed as good corporate citizens. Some sponsor a talk to schools far away or who are otherwise low on funds. Donors always get a written acknowledgement from us and we provide a tax invoice to claim the tax credit.
Our volunteers distribute the little booklet TEN THINGS YOUR FRIENDS MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT DRUGS to households and at events. These books cost 15 cents each to print and distribute. So even a small donation of $20.00 gets over 130 of these booklets into the hands of people to counter the false information put out by the pushers and save a few kids from becoming users. Likewise $100 gets out 666 booklets. $250 buys a talk for a school class and repeatedly results in kids staying away from drugs.
